Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install dark-search-input

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent places a search field with an SVG icon, a soft outline and a slight shrink on click. Colours are restrained and change with a few values. You get a clean search for a shop or a catalogue.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add it to my site?

Copy the HTML and the CSS block into your page, or the CSS into your stylesheet. No JavaScript is needed.

How do I customise it?

Edit: the #16171d background and #bdbecb text are set in .input; the icon takes the fill of .search-icon; width is the max-width in .group. To respect visitors sensitive to motion, wrap the animations in an @media (prefers-reduced-motion: no-preference) rule.
