Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install api-versioning-deprecation-policy

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent chooses the version scheme, defines what counts as a breaking change and sets notice periods by audience. It covers sunset communication, with the Deprecation and Sunset headers, and how the cutoff is enforced. You get a written policy that can be checked and defended to customers.
