Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install architecture-decision-record-writing-3

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent creates a numbered ADR file such as 0001-slug.md in docs/adr/, following the template: a short title, context, decision and reasons. It first checks whether the decision meets the criteria for an ADR, and creates the folder only when the first ADR is needed.
