Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install assistant-ui-install-and-runtime

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent uses the assistant-ui CLI to create a project, add it to an existing Next.js app or update it, then chooses the runtime that fits your backend, such as AI SDK or LangGraph. It checks the install with the diagnostic commands. You get a chat app wired to your backend.
