In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install aws-profile-region-discovery-2

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

Before any AWS action, the agent reads the local configuration: active profile, region, caller identity and assumed role. It validates the credentials and reports what it found. You avoid deploying to the wrong region or account.
