Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install brand-style-guide

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent takes stock of your brand identity, then writes an eight-section guide using a fillable template. It can also audit an existing guide for gaps. You get a reference document that designers, developers and vendors can apply without ambiguity, plus a plan to keep it current.

Frequently asked questions

Does the brand identity need to be finished?

Yes, the skill documents an identity that already exists. It mentions neighboring skills (brand-identity, brand-voice) for earlier steps, but works without them if you supply those inputs yourself.

What format is the guide delivered in?

Structured markdown with a suggested file tree. You can then ask for a web page, PDF or Figma version.
