Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install chat-state-runtime-guide

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent chooses between a local runtime, an external store or a custom transport, then wires up the provider and the read and action hooks. It follows the stable selector rule to avoid needless renders. You get a runtime that drives messages, threads and attachments.
