Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install cics-vsam-cobol-transformation

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

Working from a transformation guide that already exists, the agent replaces the CICS and VSAM statements, adds FILE STATUS checks after every file operation, closes files on all paths and adapts the BMS screens. You get COBOL that runs locally, with transformation examples to support it.
