Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install claude-hook-development-rules

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

When you work on hooks, the skill enforces the pattern: a shell script that calls a TypeScript handler through npx tsx, reads the JSON input, then returns a structured response. You get consistent hook files, with events, tests and registration covered.
