Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install contract-amendment-history

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent reads the base agreement and every amendment in chronological order. It produces either a summary of changes amendment by amendment with a table of the current state, or a trace of one clause (indemnity, liability, termination...) with exact quotes and the language that controls today. It flags inconsistencies without ruling on legal conflicts.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a connected CLM or document repository?

No. Those options are marked as coming soon; you simply provide the files or text. The skill also mentions per-matter workspaces and a privilege header from a firm-level configuration: without that configuration they are skipped.

Does it replace a lawyer?

No. It quotes the exact text and flags ambiguities or conflicts but does not interpret them. Have a lawyer review sensitive points. At the end it suggests other skills from the same set (full review, summary), which are not required.
