Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install dbt-cli-command-formatting

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent picks the right dbt executable, builds the command with selectors and variables, and runs it. It recommends dbt build over dbt run so data tests run from the start of development. You get a valid command and its output.
