Install with the CLI
In a terminal, from the folder you want:
npx --yes palatekit@latest install deep-agents-memory-backendsWith no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.
First time: connect the CLI with
npx --yes palatekit@latest loginThe agent picks the backend for each path: StateBackend for temporary files, StoreBackend for memory that outlives a thread, and CompositeBackend to route between them. It configures FilesystemMiddleware, which provides ls, read_file, write_file, edit_file, glob and grep. You get memory matched to the lifetime you need.
