In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install development-task-breakdown

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent identifies why the task is stuck (too big, no entry point, dependencies, unclear done criteria, growing scope, need for a spike) and proposes a split into vertical slices. You get sub-tasks, each with its own done criterion.
