Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install document-retrieval-cli-ingest-query

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent installs the right package only when it is missing, picks the mode (remote service client, local GPU ingestion, local service or audio-video) and runs ingestion and search against the LanceDB index. It does not edit the documents.
