Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install git-commit-trailers-conventions

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent adds BREAKING CHANGE, Release-As, Co-authored-by or Signed-off-by trailers to a commit message, following a decision tree. It detects the project's conventions and reads trailers from recent commits with git interpret-trailers. You get messages that drive release-please correctly.
