Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install github-secret-scanning-setup

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent walks you through enabling secret protection and push protection, then configuring exclusions and regex-based custom patterns. It helps triage alerts and unblock a refused push. For pre-commit scanning by an agent, it points to the Advanced Security plugin.
