Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install glassmorphism-frosted-ui

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent builds believable translucent panels with backdrop blur, a bright edge, layered shadows and anti-banding grain. It adds hover and entrance motion, and SVG refraction for a liquid glass hero. You get a standalone HTML page that stays legible and ships fallbacks for reduced transparency and reduced motion.

What you get

  • SKILL.md: the four ingredients of glass, motion, refraction and accessibility rules
  • references/glass-recipes.md: copy-ready recipes (card, edge ring, grain, sweep, liquid glass filter)
  • A pre-delivery checklist and a harness to freeze a state or a frame

Good fit for

  • A login card or hero floating over a photo
  • A frosted nav bar or modal for a brand page
  • An Apple-style glass effect with animated refraction

Not for

  • A flat-color interface, where the blur has nothing to frost
  • A grid of dozens of cards, too costly to render
  • A site that must stay readable with no transparency at all

Frequently asked questions

The text mentions a scripts/ folder. Is it required?

No. It is an optional helper for capturing frames. It is not shipped with this skill, which works without it.

Why can't I see the glass effect?

The blur only affects what sits behind the element. Over a flat color it shows nothing, so put a photo or gradient behind the panel.
