Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install grepai-mcp-claude-code

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent adds GrepAI's MCP server to the Claude Code configuration, with the working directory if needed, then checks that the server responds. It lists the prerequisites, such as GrepAI installed and an embeddings provider available. You get semantic search available directly in Claude Code.
