Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install guarded-git-commit

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent stages only the paths you choose, shows the exact set before committing, then creates a local commit in Conventional Commits format. In message-only mode it drafts the message without touching the index. You get a clean commit or a message ready to paste.
