Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install headline-candidate-generator

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent first lists your facts, finds the tension that makes the story interesting, then applies ten moves (consequence, picture, number as hero, open question…). It returns candidates grouped by format, with the move behind each, the character count for subject lines and a recommended pick.

Frequently asked questions

Do the headlines invent facts?

No, the skill writes only from the facts you provide. If you give none, it asks for them first.

It mentions other newsjack skills. Do I need them?

No. It only suggests a next step on its last line (meanest-editor or fact-check), which you can ignore.
