In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install home-office-deduction-calc

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent finds rent or mortgage, utilities, insurance and repair costs for the home, then calculates the deduction under the simplified method ($5 per square foot) or the actual expense method using Form 8829. It compares both methods. You get the more favorable amount and the figures to report.
