Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install industrial-brutalist-ui

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent commits to one of two worlds, light Swiss print or dark tactical terminal, and sticks to it. The skill fixes fonts, fluid sizes, the palette, a one-pixel-rule grid, square corners and texture effects. You get a coherent, dense page that looks nothing like the usual templates.

What you get

  • SKILL.md: two visual archetypes, a typographic system and a color palette
  • Rules for grid, components (ASCII brackets, markers, warning stripes) and effects (halftone, scanlines, grain)
  • Web engineering directives: hairline-rule grid, semantic tags, clamp() for headlines

Good fit for

  • A portfolio, online magazine or agency site that wants to stand out
  • A dashboard or product page with a lot of data
  • A hard, mechanical visual identity with no rounded corners or gradients

Not for

  • A warm, mainstream site meant to reassure
  • A brand that already imposes its own style guide
  • A project where small uppercase text must be checked for accessibility first

Can the two worlds be mixed?

No. The skill requires picking one per project, with a single light or dark substrate.

Are the fonts included?

No. The skill suggests web fonts such as Archivo Black or JetBrains Mono, to be loaded from a license-friendly source.
