Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install kicad-project-import

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent preserves the original source and imports either a complete project, from a .kicad_pro file, or just a root schematic, depending on the request. It keeps child sheets and local libraries together, then verifies the import and reports the outcome.
