Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install local-encrypted-memory-mcp

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent installs iai-mcp, which captures each exchange locally, encrypts it and makes it searchable by semantic search. Hooks inject the useful context automatically when a session starts. According to the skill, all data stays on the machine, with no telemetry.
