Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install local-versus-hosted-cost

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent computes the fixed cost (amortization and idle power) and the marginal cost (extra power while generating) from your inputs, then shows a table at several utilization rates. It compares against a hosted model. The result is an estimate from your inputs; nothing is measured.
