Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install local-web-search-brightdata

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent installs the unfancy-search pipeline locally, sets environment variables, starts the server, then runs searches in two steps: submit, then poll for results. You get a local search that gathers results from several engines and reranks them. A Bright Data account with SERP API access is required.
