Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install mainframe-cobol-transformation-plan

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent produces a transformation guide: for each mainframe construct it gives the pattern, the standard COBOL equivalent and the error handling to reproduce, based on file status codes. It does not change any code. You get the document that will serve as the basis for the transformation.
