Install with the CLI
In a terminal, from the folder you want:
npx --yes palatekit@latest install markdown-mermaid-writingWith no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.
First time: connect the CLI with
npx --yes palatekit@latest loginThe agent identifies the document type, starts from a template, applies the style guide, then picks the right diagram type (flowchart, sequence, timeline, Gantt, mindmap, quadrant and more). Each diagram gets a title and description for accessibility, and the render is checked in the destination tool. You get a readable document with diagrams that stay editable as text.

Where do the diagrams display?
In tools that support Mermaid, including GitHub. Versions differ: check the render, or export to SVG or PNG.
Do I need to install anything?
Not to write. Only image export needs Mermaid CLI and Node.js, which is optional.
