Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install opentelemetry-service-instrumentation

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent picks the language guide (Java, .NET, Python or PHP), replaces a classic APM agent if needed and applies the OTLP configuration. It then queries Elasticsearch to confirm the data arrives under the expected service name. You get an instrumented, proven service.
