Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install openviking-agent-memory

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent first checks the context already injected, picks the right search tool (semantic search, find, list or grep), then reads the useful viking:// URIs. It writes to memory only when it is relevant. You get recall of past decisions and context shared across sessions.
