Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install pixeltable-multimodal-app-backend

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent declares tables and routes in app.py, applies the schema, starts the service and calls its operations. Computed columns replace a separate vector store. References cover the CLI, the core API, providers, anti-patterns and workflows.
