Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install pre-edit-codebase-orientation-brief

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent builds an orientation map of the repository, with likely owners, consumer surfaces and risky places to edit, then writes a short brief. You can paste it into AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md or a subagent prompt so the agent starts from the right files.
