Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install prose-crafting

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent first works out who will read the text and why, then picks a mode: rewrite, audit or explain. Every change must name what it costs the reader, and a claim ledger checks that no fact, number or level of certainty has shifted. You get a tighter text, or an audit with severities and a verdict.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work in French?

It is built for English and Ukrainian. The principles (reader, cost, meaning preservation) still help, but its word-level pattern lists are specific to those two languages.

Do I need dashfix or negafix?

No. Those neighbouring skills are only named for two narrow checks; prose-crafting works alone with its reference files.
