Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install react-effect-usage-guidance

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent first checks whether an effect is really needed, since an effect synchronizes with an external system. Otherwise it proposes an alternative: calculation during render, useMemo, the key prop or an event handler. Anti-patterns and legitimate cases are covered.
