Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install recurring-report-builder

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent turns your description into a spec (metrics, grouping, comparison, period), asks you to confirm it once, then computes the figures from a CSV or XLSX export. It checks the usual traps (partial periods, double counting, totals that do not tie) and delivers a summary with three findings, a workbook and a readable page. The definition is saved so you can rerun the same report without describing it again.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to connect my tools (accounting, Shopify, Stripe)?

No. The no-connector mode is built in: provide a CSV or XLSX export and the report is built the same way. The file also cites shared guides from the original plugin (style, connector neutrality) that are not included; without them the agent produces a standard summary and XLSX.

Where is the saved definition kept?

The agent appends it to reference/saved_reports.md or, if the folder is read-only, to a report-definitions.md file in your working folder.
