Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install refactor-preserving-behavior

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent records a baseline before any edit: what callers depend on and the checks that prove it. It applies the smallest useful change, extracts duplication, clarifies names, then reruns the baseline checks. It changes an algorithm only when a measurement justifies it.
