In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install repo-moda-defaults-config

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent writes the repo's .moda/context.json file to store the default organisation, brand and canvas, and says what is better left out. Later runs in that repo land in the right place. You get a ready-to-use context file.
