In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install safe-postgres-schema-migrations

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent assesses the lock behavior of each DDL operation, tests the migration on real or copied data, then proposes a zero-downtime execution for adding, dropping or renaming columns, changing types, adding NOT NULL constraints, foreign keys or indexes. It also plans the rollback.
