Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install salesforce-lightning-report-metadata

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent writes the .report-meta.xml file for the report format, using the column names specific to its report type, then validates it. It follows the deployment rules: no grouping field in the columns, valid date intervals and a shared folder. Custom report types and dashboards belong to other skills.
