Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install spec-closeout-rationale-record

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent archives the spec in specs/done/ and rewrites it: it drops the build plan and keeps only the why, the principles and the invariants, with pointers to the code. You get a durable record that does not repeat the code.
