Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install tech-debt-prevent-triage

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

In prevention mode the agent reworks a change toward its intended end state and deletes compatibility paths that are no longer needed. In triage mode it categorises, scores and ranks the debt of existing code. You get either a cleaner change or a prioritised refactoring backlog.
