Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install testid-markup-for-tests

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent follows Playwright's locator priority, builds semantic markup first, then adds data-testid attributes that follow a naming convention, stay unique in lists and remain stable. It treats test IDs as a public API that should not be renamed casually. You get components that tests and agents can locate reliably.
