Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install tutorial-video-maker

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent writes a scene-by-scene script, generates the voice for each scene, builds subtitles on the same timeline, then assembles the MP4. It avoids voice and picture drifting apart by padding each scene with silence. It can also produce a vertical 9:16 version without cropping the content.

Frequently asked questions

What tools are needed?

ffmpeg and ffprobe, plus edge-tts for the voice (a free tool that needs network access). Without it, the agent offers a draft with the system voice.

The examples use a Chinese voice, is that a problem?

No: just change the voice option to a voice in your language.
