In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install upstream-head-check-vendored

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

Before editing third-party code installed in the project, the agent checks the upstream version on GitHub: reading a file at HEAD, changes since the local copy, repository activity, and issues or PRs about the same symptom. You learn whether the fix already exists upstream.
