Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install ux-usability-foundations

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent reviews an interface in a fixed order (goal, comprehension, navigation, labels, feedback, errors, accessibility) or builds one starting from the user's task. You get a critique ranked by impact, quick wins and the behavior to specify for every screen state.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to provide a screenshot or code?

Both help, but a precise description of the screen and the user goal is enough for a first critique.

Does the skill write code?

It gives behavior and structure guidance (states, accessibility, forms). Visual styling is left to you or to a design skill.
