Install with the CLI
In a terminal, from the folder you want:
npx --yes palatekit@latest install local-document-ocr-parsingWith no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.
First time: connect the CLI with
npx --yes palatekit@latest loginThe agent uses the Unlimited-OCR model locally to read a page, an image or a folder and return markdown with LaTeX formulas, tables and layout boxes. It picks the backend available on your machine, MLX on Apple Silicon or CUDA on NVIDIA. You get usable text, with no file upload and no API quota.
