Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install manim-video-planner

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent researches the topic, finds the insight that makes it click, then asks you about audience, length and style. It then writes a complete scenes.md: narrative arc, scenes with duration, visual elements, narration, palette and implementation order. You leave with a plan ready to animate.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install Manim?

Not to plan. Manim only matters at the next step, when you animate the scenes.

Does it mention other skills?

Yes: manimce-best-practices and manimgl-best-practices for implementation. The plan stays usable without them.
