Install with the CLI

In a terminal, from the folder you want:

npx --yes palatekit@latest install research-figure-designer

With no option, the skill goes to ~/.agents/skills/; add --agent claude-code (or codex, cursor…) to target an agent.

First time: connect the CLI with

npx --yes palatekit@latest login

The agent identifies the figure type (motivating example, solution overview or experimental results), recommends a paradigm and draws a text layout sketch. It suggests the right tool, then checks the figure against universal rules: vector format, font size, colour-blind-safe colours, self-contained caption, honest axes. If you provide an image, it inspects it directly.
